What Is a BFCM Store?
A BFCM store is a newly launched store running a Black Friday or Cyber Monday promotion. Here is what the tag means, when the season runs, and how to use the filter.
A BFCM store is a newly launched store running a Black Friday or Cyber Monday promotion. FisherLeads tags them during the BFCM season, which runs from 1 November to 2 December.
What the BFCM tag means
When a brand new store launches with Black Friday or Cyber Monday wording, a BFCM discount code, a sale collection, or a clear promotional offer, FisherLeads marks it with the BFCM tag. The tag sits on the store alongside everything else we already show, so you can filter your feed down to just the stores that launched into the season running a promotion.
It is a signal about intent at launch: these are founders who opened their doors in the busiest selling window of the year and came out of the gate with an offer. See how many new stores are running Black Friday sales.
When the season runs
The BFCM tag is seasonal. For 2026 it runs from 1 November to 2 December.
After 2 December the season closes: no new stores are added to the BFCM tag, and the filter stops tagging fresh launches. Stores already tagged for 2026 stay in your feed and remain filterable by year, so the data does not disappear. The tag then returns for the next Black Friday season, with that year's stores under their own year.
What you can do with the filter
The BFCM filter lives in the filter panel next to every other control, so it combines with the rest rather than replacing them. You can:
- Narrow by platform, niche and country at the same time, for example BFCM stores in Apparel, on Shopify, in the United States.
- Save the search, so your BFCM segment is one click away each day.
- Get alerts, so you are notified as new stores matching your filters are tagged and reach your feed.
What you see for each store
A BFCM store carries the same details as any other store in FisherLeads, so you can qualify it before reaching out:
- Store name and website
- Platform and niche
- Country
- Launch date
- Store size and tech, including theme and the apps it runs
- Verified contact details where available, including founder email, social profiles and the store's contact pages
FAQ
Does it cover every platform?
The BFCM tag is read from each store's own launch page, so it is not limited to one platform. It applies across every platform FisherLeads tracks. Most tagged stores are on Shopify, but WooCommerce, Squarespace, custom-built stores and others are included too.
Does it include only newly launched stores?
Yes. FisherLeads only tracks stores that launched within the last few days, and a store is tagged as BFCM only when its launch date falls inside the season. You will not see older stores that simply added a sale later on.
What happens after 2 December?
When the season ends on 2 December, no new stores are added to the BFCM tag and the filter stops tagging new launches. Stores already tagged for 2026 stay filterable by year, and the tag returns for the next Black Friday season.
