Independent verifiable accuracy audit

How accurate are our newly launched store records?

We do not want you to take “newly launched” on trust. So we independently audited a random sample of our records against registry RDAP registration dates, the public source of truth for when a domain was created. Here is the method, the measured result, the honest limitations, a live checker, and the raw sample to download.

A new domain is not automatically a new store, and we do not treat it as one. FisherLeads tracks two distinct signals: a newly registered domain and a verified newly launched storefront, where we watch the shop actually go live. This page audits the first, our domain-registration accuracy. It is one part of the platform, not all of it: we are a launched-store intelligence product, not a domain list, and we verify the storefront too. The difference is explained in our methodology guide.

The result

Of the records we could verify against public RDAP data, 98.8% were confirmed newly registered domains, created within 45 days of when we flagged them. The typical record is remarkably fresh: the median domain was registered the same day we first detected it, and 9 in 10 are one day old or less.

Prefer to check live domains yourself?

This is separate from the audit above. These are 100 fresh domains from today’s feed, not the audited 1,000. Copy any of them (or paste your own) and we will look up the registration date from the registry, live, the same lookup we ran across the 1,000.

The second proof

And the storefront actually went live

A fresh domain is only half the story. We do not guess that a store is new, we watch it go live. Every store below had no storefront when we first saw it, then we recorded the moment the shop actually opened. This is the signal no weekly-crawl competitor has: we caught the launch as it happened. How we verified it

  1. We drew a random sample of 1,000 records carrying our newly launched signal, from September 2026, across common registrable TLDs.
  2. For each domain we fetched its registration date directly from the registry’s RDAP service (the official public record), via IANA’s RDAP bootstrap. No FisherLeads data was used to grade FisherLeads.
  3. A record is Confirmed when the domain was registered within 45 days of our detection, and an older domain when it was registered earlier.
  4. Records with no public RDAP date, or where a registry rate-limited us, are counted as inconclusive, never as correct.

Honest limitations

  • Some registries rate-limited our lookups (217 records); those are marked inconclusive, so the verifiable base is conservative.
  • A few country-code domains (15) have no public RDAP date, so they cannot be independently verified here and are inconclusive, never counted as correct.
  • The 1.2% older domains are not all mistakes: an established business can register or reuse an older domain and launch a genuinely new storefront on it. We still count them against precision, to stay strict.
